Yep. Texas is big.
It’s going to take me three days to get through the darned place!
It’s been great seeing the diverse Texas landscape, but it was even nicer to spend some time with my cousin Sherry in San Antonio. I arrived Monday afternoon, and we spent the evening munching at a local Panera’s and catching up.
She lives in a suburb called Alamo Heights, and it was easy drive to The Alamo on downtown San Anton’.
While downtown we visited the Alamo, the Riverwalk and a nice Mexican restaurant. We also visited one of several Spanish missions that were established in the early 18th century.
There are few opportunities to see 250-year-old structures in the U.S., and I had that chance at both the Alamo and the San Jose mission. We got to see the remnants of frescos at both missions.
That’s it for now. I’m off to play Taboo in Nashville.
